Deanna Dalezman is the founder and owner of Chicago Speech Steps.  She has been in the speech field for 17 years, and has worked in a variety of settings including early intervention, in-home, clinics, schools, and teletherapy.

Deanna received her Bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, and her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Michigan University.  Deanna is fully licensed, holding her Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech Language Hearing Association since 2005.  She also holds her Professional Educator's License in the state of Illinois.

Deanna has always had a passion for working with children. She prides herself on her creativeness to make speech therapy fun and engaging for her clients. She believes in approaching speech therapy at the child's level, and tailoring each session to their individual needs. Deanna loves working with children of all ages, and she enjoys forming a working partnership with families. Although she works with children with a variety of communication difficulties, her expertise are in the areas of articulation, phonology, and language disorders  In her spare time, Deanna loves spending time with her husband and 4 children.
